The primary responsibilities of the Director are to represent the youth focused mission of the program, manage the financial operations and the development goals of the site, maintain strong university partner relationships, work closely with a local advisory board to raise the annual budget, and to recruit and manage a team that ensures the coordination of all program operations. The Director must be highly motivated, organized, enthusiastic, willing to travel, a great communicator, hardworking, and a strong role model. The Director reports to the Regional Vice President and works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, CFO/CAO and other members of the Executive Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the vision, strategy and growth of the program aligned with Posse’s organizational goals
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring the consistent implementation of the programs and services
  • Translate organizational priorities into actionable plans and initiatives
  • Participate in the hiring, supervision, coaching and support of team members
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture
  • Manage departmental budgets in collaboration with finance and leadership

Qualities/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years management experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, programs or departments
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of university structure and policy
  • Knowledge of Atlanta public high schools
  • Knowledge of higher education and educational access
  • Regional travel required
