The Impact You Will Make
The Senior Director, People Business Partnering is a highly experienced, People Business Partner who serves as the primary people advisor to VP-level and Director-level leaders within Risepoint. This role owns the execution of the people strategy for assigned business areas, translating business priorities into scalable people solutions across organization design, workforce planning, talent attraction and cultivation, engagement, and employee relations.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy, judgment, and influence. The Senior Director operates with minimal oversight, leads complex initiatives end-to-end, and plays a critical role in shaping how people practices enable growth—while partnering closely with the VP, People Business Partnering on strategy, alignment, and execution for People Team and business organization program and initiatives. Through this work, you will help leaders scale effectively, build strong teams and organizations, and deliver Risepoint’s growth priorities.

How You Will Bring Our Mission to Life
What You Will Do

  • Strategic People Partnership: Advise and challenge Director - VP level leaders on talent, structure, processes and leadership effectiveness, translating business strategy into scalable people solutions. Shape functional people priorities by identifying enterprise-wide themes, risks, and opportunities across assigned business areas and translating them into scalable solutions and clear directions for leaders.
  • Org Design and Workforce Planning: Lead org design, workforce planning, and change initiatives in partnership with business leaders, finance and VP PBP to ensure efficient, scalable structures.
  • Manager and Leader Effectiveness: Coach leaders on talent cultivation and complex employee relations situations drive consistent, high-quality execution of people processes and programs.
  • Talent Attraction Partnership: Partner with leadership and TA on Director+ and critical hires, advising on selection, interview quality, and offer strategy. Talent Cultivation Excellence: Partner with COE’s to implement and consistently improve talent cultivation processes.
  • Data, Insights and Operating Rhythm: Ensure data integrity and leverage people data and to diagnose issues, track progress, and inform strategic people actions aligned to broader priorities.
  • Employee Relations: Resolve employee relations matters with sound judgment, ensuring fair, compliant outcomes and high-trust employee experience partnering with in-house counsel as needed.
  • Evolve People Team Function: Lead cross-functional People initiatives that strengthen capabilities, processes, and impact of the People Team.

  • Business and Leader Outcomes: Director-VP leaders report high trust, influence, and value from People BP partnership (qualitative feedback, engagement follow ups). Organizational structures are clearer, more scalable, and aligned to growth goals. Transformation objectives achieved.
  • Talent and Performance Outcomes: Achievement of talent acquisition metrics and new hire impact. Improved manager effectiveness scores, engagement results, and retention in critical roles. Strong execution and measurable impact of talent cultivation and development processes and programs.
  • Operational & Risk Outcomes: Data driven insights consistently inform decisions and organizational guidance, programs and projects. Employee relations matters are handled effectively with minimal escalation and low business disruption.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
Experience That Matters Most

  • Demonstrated ability to advise Dir + senior leaders, influence decisions, and drive people outcomes aligned to business growth.
  • Proven experience leading or shaping people programs and change initiatives, with a strong understanding of talent acquisition, organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and manager capability in growing or evolving organizations.
  • Strong strategic judgment, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative information to identify patterns, assess risk, and translate people insights into practical guidance for leaders.
  • Experience supporting organizations through meaningful transformation, such as scaling or shifts in ways of working, with the ability to help leaders navigate change thoughtfully and sustainably.
  • Experience in high growth, transformation, or PE backed environments where pace, ambiguity, and rigor are the norm.
  • Ability to exert executive influence and impact and willingness to execute operational responsibilities.
  • Experience in companies in progressive HR function, modernizing people processes and leveraging technology (including HR systems, analytics, or emerging AI-enabled tools) to improve decision-making, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience in $1B+ or similarly complex organizations and role a must


Experience That’s Great to Have

  • Hand-on experience with Workday
  • Prior support of Marketing and/or Operations functions
  • Experience in mission driven, education or ed tech industry a plus
