Role Overview

The Collaboration Platforms Lead is responsible for the performance, evolution, and governance of Risepoint’s collaboration and productivity ecosystem. This includes Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and integrated platforms such as Box. This role ensures these services are delivered as reliable, secure, and continuously improving products with defined roadmaps, SLOs, and measurable business outcomes.

Acting as both strategist and practitioner, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our digital workplace services, from design and automation through adoption and satisfaction, working closely with IT Operations, Security, and business stakeholders to enable seamless collaboration across the enterprise

Essential Functions

  • M365 Platform Leadership: Administer, secure, and optimize Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related M365 services.
  • Service Ownership & Roadmap: Define and execute service lifecycle, governance, and roadmap for collaboration platforms (M365, Box, Teams).
  • Identity & Access Management: Manage Entra ID / Azure AD conditional access, hybrid identity, lifecycle, SSO, and PIM.
  • Email & Mail Flow: Design and maintain secure routing (connectors, transport rules, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, hybrid mail).
  • Governance & Compliance: Enforce retention, DLP, auditing, and classification policies aligned with security and privacy frameworks.
  • Automation & Reliability: Build PowerShell/Graph automation for provisioning, monitoring, and patching (Intune).
  • Integration Leadership: Oversee SharePoint ↔ Box integration, identity sync, and cross-platform governance.
  • Migration & Modernization: Lead cloud migrations and integrate third-party productivity tools.
  • Incident Response & Health: Monitor tenant health, resolve incidents, and drive service stability through proactive improvements.
  • Stakeholder & Experience Management: Partner with Security, CloudOps, and People teams to align M365 strategy with business needs and improve user experience.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Evaluate new M365 features, pilot enhancements, and automate for scale.

What You’ll Need for Success

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 engineering / administration roles.
  • Proven experience with Exchange Online (routing, connectors, transport, rules).
  • Deep knowledge of Entra ID / Azure AD, conditional access, hybrid identity setups.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online and Box (integration, governance, permissions).
  • Proficiency in scripting / automation (PowerShell / Graph API).
  • Understanding of Windows patching strategies and support (WSUS, Intune, SCCM).
  • Good understanding of cloud fundamentals (IaaS, identity, networking).
  • Familiar with compliance, security, and governance in Microsoft 365.
  • Experience migrating on-prem or legacy systems to M365.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interface across technical and stakeholder teams.
