Data Analyst 4
A Data Analyst 4 advances business decision‑making by designing, enhancing, and owning complex reporting solutions that convert large‑scale, multi‑source data into actionable insights. This senior role ensures enterprise‑level data accuracy, integrity, and consistency while proactively diagnosing issues, and implementing sustainable data quality improvements. The analyst leads sophisticated ad hoc analyses, oversees user acceptance testing, and communicates insights with clarity to internal stakeholders and external clients. This position independently manages high‑impact projects that drive process optimization and operational effectiveness. Facilitates client and internal training on reporting tools to strengthen data literacy and contributes to Federal Reporting activities by ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable, enterprise-level reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, ensuring solutions are well-documented, maintainable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
· Translate business questions into structured analytical frameworks and advanced reporting solutions that drive strategic decision-making across teams.
· Establish and optimize recurring reporting suites and monitoring views that reduce reliance on ad hoc requests and improve operational efficiency.
· Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis using Business Objects or comparable analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers.
· Present high-impact insights to internal team, leadership, and clients, clearly articulating system functionality, data interpretation, and business implications.
· Evaluation, recommend, and lead implementation of enhancements to reporting tools, data models, and system capabilities to increase automation, reduce manual effort, and improve analytical accuracy.
· Federal Reporting – coordinate cross-functional efforts with technical, operational, and compliance teams to gather required data, resolve discrepancies.
· Assist in and facilitate reporting training for internal teams and external clients, strengthening understanding of reporting tool.
Data Quality
· Oversee and proactively monitor data feeds and ensure sustained accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
· Investigate and resolve data quality issues
· Define, apply, and continuously refine data standards, business rules, and data validation controls.
· Develop, maintain and enhance documentation for reports, data sources, and business logic
· Service as a subject-matter expert on data requirements for Federal Reporting, ensuring data structures, validation logic, and quality controls.
Team Collaboration
· Partner with business, operational, and technical stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements, success criteria, and ensure alignment across teams for high-impact analytical initiatives.
· Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and clients, tailoring communication for technical, operational, and executive audiences while translating data insights into clear, actionable guidance.
· Lead and prioritize ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
· Oversee and contribute to user acceptance testing procedures in areas of assigned focus and responsibility
Tools and Processes
· Recommend and lead data-driven improvements to operational data processes and reporting practices
· Share expertise and best practices with peers and support team learning efforts
· Provide Tier 2 data integration and reporting support via Zendesk
· Independently manage and execute special projects
Required Skills
· Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
· Expertise with enterprise reporting and analytics tools (e.g. SAP (Business Objects), SQL, Power BI)
· Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
· Exceptional attention to detail

Qualifications
· PhD or Master preferred
· 6+ years in reporting, analytics, data integration or related roles
· Strong understanding of Federal Data & Reporting and Compliance Standards
Compensation:
Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
Range: $70,000 - $119,000
PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship.
