The Data Analyst 3 supports business decision-making by developing and maintaining reporting solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. This role ensures data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems while monitoring ongoing data feeds and resolving data quality issues. The analyst responds to ad hoc analysis requests, contributes to user acceptance testing, and presents findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and clients. manner. Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, well-documented reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
  • Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and reporting solutions
  • Develop recurring reports and monitoring views that reduce reliance on ad hoc requests
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis using Business Objects or other similar tools to analyze trends, patterns, and performance metrics
  • Present findings to team members and clients regarding system reporting and functionality
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to tools, report designs, and system capabilities that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort

Data Quality

  • Monitor ongoing data feeds and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues
  • Apply data standards, business rules, and data validation controls.
  • Maintain and improve documentation for reports, data sources, and business logic

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with business, operational, and technical stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and success criteria
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and clients, tailoring communication to the audience for technical, operational, and leadership stakeholders
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
  • Actively participate in user acceptance testing procedures in areas of assigned focus and responsibility

Tools and Processes

  • Recommend data-driven improvements to operational data processes and reporting practices
  • Share knowledge and best practices with peers and support team learning efforts
  • Provide Tier 2 data integration and reporting support via Zendesk
  • Perform special projects independently upon request or in support of independent initiatives

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g. SAP (Business Objects), SQL, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity

Qualifications

  • Must be located in the eastern region of the US, preferably North Carolina
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or additional relevant years’ experience required
  • Mid-level: 2-5 years in reporting, analytics, data integration or related roles
  • Strong understanding of Federal Data & Reporting and Compliance Standards

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Range: $73,000 - $90,000
