Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the activities of department staff, supporting the successful achievement of the unit goals
Provides ongoing performance management of staff, including formal performance evaluations and career development
Coaches and provides feedback regarding training initiatives and effectiveness
Participates in recruitment and hiring of staff
Responsible for the sound instructional design of training programs
Participates in the design and delivery of training programs, including presentation materials
Conducts training needs assessments and provide recommendations
Teaches others through classroom facilitation and feedback.
Assists in the development of monthly training programs, scheduling, training calendar release and administration
Designs, develops and implements training curriculum, seminars and educational resources for participants.
Coordinates with local agencies to provide additional training courses for Welfare-To-Work participants. Maintains current knowledge of County resources and agencies, including community events, seminars and workshops.
Designs, develops and implements training curriculum, seminars and educational resources for Staff.
Maintains up to date with Program Guide and Regulations.
Works in partnership with existing Trainers in training development and delivery.
Monitors, evaluates and records staff / participant progress.
Works in partnership with Staff to provide support, coaching and development for participants.
Ensures that PCG objectives and monthly goals are met and support contractual goals.
Required Skills
Knowledge of commonly used training concepts, practices and procedures
Leadership ability - Confident, commands respect and trust among peers and others.
Organizes time and priorities to achieve business results in a timely manner.
Directs his/her actions and the actions of others toward achieving goals that are critical to the success of the operation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understands the importance of mentoring and coaching employees
Knowledge of MS Windows, Excel and Word preferred
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
6+ years training/workforce development or related experience, 2+ years previous supervisory experience
Working Conditions
- This position requires full-time (Mon-Fri) in-office work.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role.
