PCG is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Intake Specialist to work with our Social Security Advocacy Management Services (SSAMS) team. The Data Intake Specialist assists individuals seeking representation in their pursuit of Social Security Disability (SSDI/SSI) benefits by collecting and documenting information needed to file their claim. This person will conduct in-depth phone interviews to gather a variety of detailed information regarding specific issues related to their SSI/SSDI claim, create internal electronic files, and manage processes that assure timeliness and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Data Intake Specialist is responsible for managing the main phone line, answering, and routing incoming calls, as well as processing and routing all physical mail received in office.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointments and conduct in-depth interviews with individuals, including collecting updated medical source information, discussing their impairments and limitations, work history and financial information.

  • Request necessary medical, psychological, school and work records.

  • Ensure all appropriate information is gathered into the SSAMS Case Management System.

  • Send out and retrieve intake packet, including obtaining signatures on required forms.

  • Answer and route incoming calls.

  • Process incoming mail, including scanning mail to staff electronic folders.

  • Process client responses to outreach.

  • Process outgoing mail.

  • Filing and record keeping.

  • Manage incoming faxes.

  • Other clerical tasks as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft office products

  • Strong typing skills: ability to verbally collect data while simultaneously entering data into the database.

  • Strong verbal communication skills: ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Strong Interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish positive interactions with clients.

  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.

  • Knowledge and understanding of SSA’s laws and regulations.

  • Knowledge and understanding of SSA’s medical, phycological and vocational criteria.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the relationship between SSI/SSDI and Medicaid/Medicare

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage high volume caseloads.

  • Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision.

Required Experience:

  • An associate degree or 2 years’ relevant experience.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
