WHAT YOU’LL DO:
MGT is seeking a Sales Support professional to cultivate new business opportunities and manage existing client relationships. This role carries an annual quota, measured monthly, and offers a base salary plus uncapped commission.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in technology and IT solution sales, with the ability to identify customer needs, deliver consultative solutions, and foster long-term partnerships. A successful candidate will demonstrate a hunter mentality, strong relationship management skills, and a passion for helping organizations succeed with MGT’s IT offerings. For candidates committed to investing 3–5 years in this position, there are opportunities to develop territory strength and advance within the organization.
In this role you will:
Business Development & Account Growth
- Proactively network, cold call, and sell to multiple stakeholders, including executives.
- Hunt for new accounts outside existing territories using outreach and industry connections.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across MGT’s IT services and solutions.
- Leverage MGT’s infrastructure and successful portfolio to generate new clientele.
Relationship Management
- Develop strong, consultative relationships with new and existing customers.
- Provide tailored value propositions that increase profitability and client satisfaction.
- Represent MGT and its professional services/technology partner offerings with credibility and enthusiasm.
- Maintain open communication with clients and vendors throughout the sales lifecycle.
Sales Execution
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reporting.
- Drive attendance to regional marketing events.
- Collaborate closely with vendor partners; articulate their technology and pricing models.
- Develop proposals and statements of work for client opportunities.
Market Strategy & Planning
- Conduct market research, analyze budgets, and forecast procurement opportunities.
- Apply business analytics to optimize territory planning and demand generation.
- Actively engage in industry organizations (ISSA, ISACA, etc.) to expand presence and pipeline.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 7 years of sales experience.
- Four (4) or more years of technology/information systems technical solution sales experience.
- Deep understanding of the IT landscape, with strong relationships in Fortune 2000 accounts.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals of $2.5M+ annually.
- Experience analyzing, structuring, and negotiating agreements.
- Familiarity with CRM tools for meetings, forecasting, and account management.
- Proposal and technical writing experience.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Comfortable interacting and negotiating with senior executives.
- High level of computer proficiency.
- Must pass criminal background and drug screening requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in infrastructure and security solution sales.
- Vendor-related networking/security certifications (e.g., HPE/Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5).
- Experience positioning professional services, assessments, and statements of work.
