WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a key member of the Solutions Architect team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping MGT’s solutions portfolio, driving customer satisfaction, and contributing directly to our growth. This role is primarily pre-sales focused and will work closely with sales to design best-of-breed solutions for existing accounts and new territories.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Pre-Sales Engagement:
Lead impactful customer presentations and equipment demonstrations (on-site or virtual). Collaborate with sales to develop and nurture customer relationships while executing strategic and tactical objectives. Contribute to proposal creation and tailored solution presentations. - On-Site Engagement:
Attend customer meetings to provide technical expertise and ensure alignment between client needs and proposed architectures. Travel may be required based on project scope. - Architectural Oversight:
Provide architect-level oversight on large, complex projects. Ensure best practices in design, implementation, and integration while maintaining technical leadership throughout all phases of delivery. - Post-Sales Support:
Deliver architect-level technical support during project startup and post-implementation to ensure seamless transitions and ongoing client satisfaction. - Technical Promotion:
Identify, position, and promote opportunities for MGT’s Managed Services offerings, including Monitoring, Element Management, SIEM/SOC, and Managed VoIP/Cloud VoIP.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering
- Two (2) or more years of pre-sales engineering experience
- Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, advanced networking solutions
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent customer presentation skills
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching
- Experience with L2 edge switches, L3 routers, VPNs, and optical network devices
- Proficiency with Layer 4–7 application switches, NG firewalls, load balancers, IDPs, and cybersecurity practices
- Experience with WLAN technologies
- Familiarity with products from Juniper/Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and F5
- Thorough understanding of the OSI model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking
