MGT is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Director of Operations to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this position is integral to managing and optimizing key functional areas, including Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Purchasing, Administration, Facilities, TSG Payroll, Time Reporting, Prevailing Wage, HR Business Partner, Order Administration, and Bid Desk. As a member of the TSG Management Team, the Director of Operations will play a critical role in driving operational efficiencies and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and organizational success.

  • Review performance against operating plans and standards, providing reports to subordinates and adjusting direction based on results. Ensure alignment with company objectives.

  • Lead initiatives to drive operational efficiencies, continuously improving processes to support the company’s growth.

  • Work closely with the Leadership Team to develop and recommend corporate operations policies, ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Define and recommend objectives for each area within the Operations Department. Develop and implement both short-term and long-term plans and programs, including supporting budget requests and financial estimates.

  • Review and approve cost control reports, cost estimates, and forecasts related to manpower and facilities requirements. Assist in the budget-setting process with the Vice President.

  • Select and maintain qualified personnel, ensuring strong leadership and performance. Coordinate with HR to recommend compensation and manage performance reviews. Provide guidance to foster professional growth within the team.

  • Maintain clear communication within the department, keeping employees informed of company and departmental plans and progress through regular meetings. Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure smooth collaboration and resolution of issues.

  • Consult with management to ensure compliance and recommend improvements to policies and procedures, ensuring that operations are effective and aligned with business goals.

  • Act as a role model and mentor for employees, fostering a positive and high-performance culture within the organization.

  • Direct and support the implementation of company initiatives, ensuring consistency across departments.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred
  • Master’s degree (MBA) or equivalent work experience (a plus).

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in operations, business planning, or sales support management, with a comprehensive background in purchasing, inventory control, administration, facilities management, order administration, shipping and receiving, and warehousing.

  • Proven record of success in progressively more senior roles within a Communications Service Provider environment or similar industry.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, inspiring collaboration and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities. Ability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership, team members, and external stakeholders.

  • Strategic & Operational Planning: Ability to plan and manage both strategic and operational aspects of the business, balancing long-term goals with day-to-day operations.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and objectives while ensuring efficiency and quality.

  • Customer Service: Deep understanding of customer service best practices and the ability to align operations to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Salesforce Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools, to support customer and order management processes.

  • Change Management: Experience managing change in a dynamic and diverse environment, driving continuous improvement and organizational adaptability.
