KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is part of the KIPP national network. Together with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose – college, career, and beyond – so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating 3,000+ students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, in the North and Westsides of Jacksonville, Florida:
- KIPP Impact Academy: Kindergarten – 8th grade
- KIPP VOICE Academy: Kindergarten – 8th grade
- KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy: Kindergarten – 8th grade
- KIPP Bold City High School: 9th - 12th grade
For the current school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools work the following hours Monday through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school events outside of these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.
K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pm
High School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm.
Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. *This doesn’t include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.
To support these schools, we will employ approximately almost 300 full-time staff members. Job Description

Organization: K–12 Public Charter Network (~3,100 KIPPsters)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Role Overview
The Senior Director of Advancement leads the strategy, execution, and growth of all external-facing functions that fuel the organization’s sustainability and impact. This includes fundraising, partnerships, volunteer engagement, and advocacy.
This leader is responsible for building deep, authentic relationships across Jacksonville—particularly on the North and West sides—to ensure the organization has the financial resources, community backing, and political will to deliver excellent outcomes for KIPPsters.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Development Strategy
Design and execute a multi-year advancement strategy to meet annual and long-term revenue goals
Lead all fundraising efforts including major gifts, institutional giving, corporate sponsorships, and events
Build and manage a strong donor pipeline, with a focus on cultivating and stewarding high-capacity donors
Partner with the CEO and Board to activate their networks and increase philanthropic investment
Ensure strong systems for donor tracking, reporting, and stewardship
Partnerships & Community Engagement
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and community organizations
Serve as a key external ambassador, representing the organization across Jacksonville
Align partnerships to organizational priorities, including college & career pathways, enrichment, and student support
Elevate the organization’s visibility and reputation in the community
Volunteer Strategy
Build and scale a structured, high-impact volunteer program aligned to school and organizational needs
Engage corporate and community partners in meaningful volunteer opportunities
Ensure an excellent experience that leads to long-term engagement and giving
Advocacy & External Affairs
Develop and execute an advocacy strategy that builds public support for the organization and charter schools broadly
Cultivate relationships with local and state leaders, policymakers, and influencers
Mobilize families, staff, and community members as advocates
Monitor policy developments and position the organization proactively
Team Leadership & Operations
Lead and develop the Advancement team (development, partnerships, communications, etc.)
Set clear goals, track progress, and ensure strong execution across all functions
Manage the advancement budget and ensure strong ROI on investments
Collaborate cross-functionally with academics, operations, and regional leadership

7-10+ years of experience in fundraising, development, external affairs, or related field
Proven track record of securing major gifts and managing diverse revenue streams
Experience building and managing high-impact partnerships
Strong people manager with a track record of developing teams
Deep commitment to educational equity and the communities served
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills
Familiarity with the Jacksonville landscape is a strong plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Our current compensation and benefits structure is very competitive and is commensurate with experience.
The salary band is $92,000 - 102K annually
