Position Summary
Junior Achievement USA (JA USA) is seeking a strategic Marketing Director to lead marketing efforts for its Learning Experience product lines. The Marketing Director will drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of JA’s educational programs among educators, students, donors, and partners. This position operates with independence, shaping product line strategy and contributing to organizational goals through the development and execution of integrated marketing initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement marketing plans that align with product, departmental, and organizational priorities.
- Campaign Leadership: Lead integrated campaigns across digital, social, email, print, and events to support product launches and ongoing adoption.
- Area & Partner Support: Provide strategic guidance and resources to JA Area offices and regional teams to ensure consistent promotion of JA’s learning experiences.
- Brand Management: Maintain brand integrity across all initiatives; oversee content creation for multiple audiences and channels.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Monitor marketing performance, analyze data, and optimize strategies to improve outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product, fundraising, and program teams to align marketing activities with organizational objectives.
- Leadership & Budget Management: Manage a small team of staff or contractors, oversee the marketing budget, and mentor team members.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably in education, nonprofit, or product-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing long-term marketing strategies that achieve measurable results.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, email, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
- Strong writing and editing skills for diverse formats (web, email, video, print).
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Experience mentoring and leading marketing staff or contractors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as D365, HubSpot, or similar.
- Experience stewarding brand identity across marketing initiatives.
- Knowledge of K–12 education systems, curriculum development, or nonprofit program delivery.
- Familiarity with Junior Achievement’s mission and educational offerings.
- Passion for youth education, workforce readiness, and social impact.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $74,000 to $97,000 annually, with the exact salary depending on prior work experience and the assessment of one’s fit for the role.
