Location: Remote, US - Preference for resident of Mid-West Region US, must be within 50 miles of a major airport
Up to 80% Travel, mostly regionally but may travel nationally as needed

OPPORTUNITY
As Director, Regional Sales, you will be responsible for business development efforts by successfully building both current and potential client partnerships. You will use your skills negotiating, managing customer relationships, driving customer retention and expansion, and supporting the overall go to market strategy for all EL Education offerings. You’ll collaborate deeply with internal teams to ensure the success of EL Educations products and services, further positioning our products and services as the premiere choice among educational curriculum and professional development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Share EL Education Products and Services with Prospective and Current Clients (40%)
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of EL Education’s offerings, current educational challenges, and curricular trends to effectively communicate the value of our products and services.
Engage high-level school district leaders through targeted relationships and persuasive sales presentations, both independently and alongside distribution partners.
Customize presentations and demonstrations to address the specific needs of each district, leveraging digital and technological tools for maximum impact.
Maintain a strong field presence, traveling extensively within the region to meet with prospective and current clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and how our products can meet them.
Create and Implement Regional Sales Strategy (25%)
Develop and oversee the execution of a strategic sales plan for the Mid-West Coast, utilizing insights from local, state, and national educational trends to drive decision-making.
Supervise the development and implementation of sales strategies, ensuring they effectively utilize multiple resources and align with EL Education’s goals.
Negotiate pricing and strategic agreements to optimize sales, profit margins, and market share growth within the region.
Forecast sales and inventory needs accurately and regularly, contributing to the organization's financial health.
Generate and Work Leads (25%)
Work collaboratively with the District Partnership Team and other internal stakeholders to identify and cultivate leads within designated territories.
Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients using CRM tools like Salesforce, ensuring a systematic approach to tracking and managing leads.
Utilize insights on market conditions, promotional activities, business opportunities, and competitor strategies to identify new leads and expand market presence.
Travel within the region to maintain a strong presence, working directly with School Districts and attending relevant conferences and events to generate leads.
Be Crew (10%)
Work closely with the Partnership, Marketing, and Product teams to align sales strategies with broader organizational objectives, and provide feedback from the field to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Contribute to the broader success of EL Education by sharing insights, challenges, and successes to drive continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
Engage in regular professional development to enhance personal skills and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Collaborate with sales colleagues across regions by offering support during peak demand periods

Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years successful sales territory management within the education market
Experience with and understanding of state and district approval lists and RFP processes
Understanding of the current education landscape on the Mid-West Coast
Intermediate to advanced proficiency demonstrating digital and technology solutions
Bachelor’s degree in education, sales or marketing preferred
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The starting salary range for this position is $91,000 to $120,000 annually, with most candidates falling near the middle of the range. We offer a wide variety of benefits, including paid time off, 403b match, paid parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, and more.
