Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office).

About the Team

BigFuture brings together a trusted community of experts to help every learner own their future. The BigFuture Community team is responsible for resources, content and go-to-market efforts to reach and engage teens, parents and other caring adults, and K-12 educators. Our authentic, trusted content featuring experts demystifies the college and career planning process. Our resources include BigFuture Scholarships ($23+ million to over 24K teens since 2019), the College Board National Recognition Program (280K students recognized for academic achievement in 2025); and BigFuture Ambassadors (community of thousands of high school students who share free college and career resources). The team coordinates cross-functional go-to-market efforts to reach and engage K-12, students and families.

About the Opportunity

As Director, Parent Community Implementation, you will coordinate cross-functional programming, content and go-to-market efforts to expand reach and engage parents and caregivers on BigFuture.org. You will be responsible for implementation of a new national parent and caregiver advisory council to better understand our audience. Informed by audience insights, you will manage a new parent community on BigFuture.org featuring parent-first content and events. You will manage a strategic, coordinated set of activities to reach, engage and grow the parent and family audience in partnership with other College Board teams including BigFuture Product, Engagement and Reach: Students and Families and Customer Engagement.

In this role, you will:

Parent Community Online Content and Events (40%)

  • Own development and refinement of the BigFuture Parent Community web page elevating BigFuture resources

  • Produce short, parent-first micro-topic videos, articles, resources and other content to equip parents and caregivers to support their teens throughout future planning

  • Produce all aspects of BigFuture Live events for families and caregivers, including developing event plans, sourcing speakers, packaging event content into video cutdowns, and promoting events in partnership with Engagement and Reach

  • In partnership with our Engagement and Reach and Product teams, implement efforts to measurably grow the parent community and deepen engagement with content

  • Track parent community engagement metrics with the web page, content and live events to inform future strategy

Parent Audience Insights (30%)

  • Implement recruitment, selection and cultivation strategies to ensure a representative group of families from across the country

  • Own implementation of strategy, agendas and follow-up for a national parent advisory committee to increase understanding of families’ pain points, needs and wants

  • Monitor and implement surveys, focus groups and other efforts to understand the parent audience and synthesize findings, user needs and implications for BigFuture in partnership with Learning and Assessment

  • Monitor the college and career planning landscape serving parents and synthesize and share new developments in the BigFuture

  • In partnership with the Product team, surface recommendations and insights from the parent community to inform product roadmap and future solutions

Parent Community Go-to-Market (30%)

  • Implement BigFuture partnerships with parent-focused organizations to generate and promote content to build awareness and grow reach

  • Identify and implement new strategies to reach and engage parents where they are to boost awareness of BigFuture with the audience

  • Develop flyers, slide presentations, infographics and other assets to inform and inspire parents and caregivers about the value of BigFuture

  • Partner with Engagement and Reach to implement strategies to increase parent traffic and enrollment via channels including email, paid media and organic social

About You

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • 7+ years of experience implementing go-to-market, marketing, and/or content strategies

  • Knowledge of college and career readiness preferred

  • Understanding of and empathy with parent and caregiver audiences

  • Oriented to using goals to prioritize work, gauge success, identify problems, and reprioritize

  • Track record of collaborating cross-functionally to refine and implement plans

  • High attention to detail and strong use of visible project planning systems

  • Experience producing websites, video, and other content for social media

  • Ability to use tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics to track and analyze data

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to translate high-level strategy into operations and tactics

  • Willingness to pivot and innovate regularly based on user data and feedback

  • The ability to travel 1-3 times a month to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business

About Our Process

  • Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. This role is expected to accept applications for a minimum of 5 business days.

  • While the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone/video screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise such as live coding, a panel interview, a conversation with leadership and reference checks.

  • The hiring range for this role is $80,000-$130,000.
