About the Role

Reporting structure

The Network Office Operations Associate reports to the Managing Director of Operations.

Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Support and execute all systems and processes to drive smooth day-to-day central office operations.
  • Develop and continually improve network operations systems and procedures and support with strategic annual planning for central office operations.
  • Foster and sustain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Ascend’s network office and provide best-in-class reception support by representing Ascend to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety mandates, emergency protocols, and state and federal workplace regulations.
  • Track and maintain supplies inventory, resulting in a positive and productive office environment.
  • Support with the central office employee onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Coordinate and support with network-wide activities and events.
  • Support student recruitment and enrollment teams in ensuring that ATS and state-level data systems are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Conduct data entry, analyze and report on operations data, including data required for school, board and regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of basic technology (e.g. computers, printers, postage/fax) with the ability to provide basic IT support to staff members.
  • Maintain facilities by planning space allocations, layouts, and floor moves; arranging for and supervising building maintenance.
  • Maintain records by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
  • Proactively identify and assess problems, and effectively bring solutions to resolve.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in an office environment, preferably an education-related organization.
  • Experience with systems and applications such as OneLogin, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams, Intacct and RingCentral.
  • Passion and commitment to urban education and our ultimate goal of closing the achievement gap.
  • A “can do” attitude and the enthusiasm to be a hard-working, team player who is relentless in the pursuit of the school’s academic objectives
  • An openness to accept and implement feedback and engage in a process of self-improvement
  • A winning personality and a professional demeanor that conveys warmth, caring, and responsiveness to children, parents, and staff at all times
  • Strong organizational skills and thorough attention to detail
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks of varying complexity and to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Robust computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
  • Ability to report to Ascend’s network office in Brooklyn, NY (Monday-Friday)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary will range between $58,500 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with level of experience.

This full-time, exempt position offers a comprehensive benefits package including:

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Based in our Brooklyn, NY office
  • Hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence at least three days per week.
